CATL started to build a 1.1GW 140 billion yuan complementary photovoltaic energy storage project
On December 24th, 2022, the project promotion meeting of Shandong Times New Energy Battery Industry Base was held in Yanzhou District, Jining City. At the meeting site, Shandong Times New Energy Battery Industry Base Project, Contemporary Amperex Technology Co., Limited 1.1GW Fishing-Light Complementary National Large Photovoltaic Power Base Project, and Contemporary Amperex Technology Co., Limited Jining's first heavy truck power station project started laying the foundation at the same time.
Ling Wen, deputy governor of Shandong Province, delivered speeches; Lin Hongyu, secretary of Jining Municipal Party Committee and director of the Standing Committee of the Municipal People's Congress; Zeng Yuquan, chairman of Contemporary Amperex Technology Co., Limited; Yu Yongsheng, deputy secretary of Jining Municipal Party Committee and mayor, presided over the ceremony.
The total investment of the Shandong Times New Energy Battery Industry Base project is no more than RMB 14 billion, and a production line of power battery systems and energy storage systems will be built, with a planned land area of about 2,000 mu. At the same time, Contemporary Amperex Technology Co., Limited will work with Jining City to promote battery manufacturing, centralized photovoltaic, energy storage power stations, power exchange platforms, shipbuilding, and other plate projects.
