From October 15th to 16th, Saudi Arabia's largest renewable energy exhibition, Solar and Storage Live KSA, was held in Riyadh. As a global leader in smart solar and energy storage solutions, Trina Solar (booth T50) showcased its integrated smart PV and energy storage solutions, including a range of innovative products such as the Vertex N 720W module, the newly upgraded Pioneer 1P solution, the new-generation flexible liquid-cooled battery cabin Elementa KingKong 2, and the Trina cleaning robot. The anti-dust module became a highlight of the exhibition, with Trina Solar's differentiated solutions better addressing regional customer needs, furthering its commitment to supporting Saudi Arabia's green energy transition.
Vertex N Series: Comprehensive Solutions for Diverse Customer Needs
At the exhibition, Trina Solar showcased several modules, including the Vertex N 720W series, Vertex N 625W series, Vertex N 510W, and the Vertex N Mini 460W. TOPCon technology has been identified as the mainstream technology for the next five years. All Vertex N series modules from Trina Solar use N-type i-TOPCon technology, combined with an advanced 210 product platform, offering full-scene solutions to meet the needs of utility-scale ground-mounted plants, complex terrain ground stations, commercial and industrial (C&I) distributed systems, and residential rooftops. These products improve module efficiency and energy yield while further reducing LCOE, delivering greater value to customers.
Trina Solar's anti-dust module attracted a lot of attention at the exhibition. With a maximum output of 630W and efficiency of up to 23.3%, this module uses an innovative patented frame design that significantly reduces the accumulation of dust and sand, effectively addressing dust buildup issues in distributed scenarios. This ensures longer module lifespan and higher energy output, making it especially suitable for commercial and industrial rooftop installations in arid environments, ideal for regions like the Middle East and Africa. Compared to conventional modules, the anti-dust module offers significant energy yield gains over its lifecycle and reduces the frequency of cleaning, ensuring better returns for customers.
At this exhibition, Trina Solar officially launched the third season of its "Most Beautiful PV Project" campaign for the Middle East and Africa. This initiative invites customers from these regions to share more green and aesthetically pleasing PV project cases, encouraging more people to participate in and practice a green, low-carbon lifestyle. Trina Solar will work hand in hand with Middle Eastern and African customers to explore the beauty of photovoltaics and showcase the aesthetic excellence of its products.
Pioneer 1P Tracker: Tailored Solutions for Windy and Sandy Environments
Ranked among the top three in the Middle East market, Trina Solar's newly upgraded Pioneer 1P smart tracking solution was another key exhibit. This solution offers advantages such as safety, reliability, intelligent operation and maintenance (O&M), and energy yield benefits, fully meeting the specific market needs of the Middle East and Africa. These regions face challenges such as flat, open terrain, strong winds, sandy environments, and the need for fast installation. The product attracted numerous inquiries from attendees.
Compared to traditional mechanical transmission systems, Trina's Pioneer series is the industry's first electrified tracking system, having passed stringent international certifications such as IEC62817, SBP, and DNV design certifications. The support structure and drive system feature multiple patented technologies. Trina's trackers have maintained a leading position in the Middle East thanks to localized deployment and high-quality product solutions. According to a report from Wood Mackenzie, Trina Solar ranks among the top three in terms of shipment volume in the Middle East, having provided over 2GW of tracking solutions for projects such as Qatar Industrial City's solar plant and the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park.
New-Generation Flexible Energy Storage Battery Cabin: Elementa KingKong 2 Offers Greater Value
Trina Solar also showcased its next-generation flexible energy storage battery cabin, Elementa KingKong 2, at the exhibition. This system achieves a high balance between cost and system capacity within a standard 20-foot container. Equipped with Trina Solar's self-developed core technology, the system offers low cost, ultra-long lifespan, extreme safety, and high conversion efficiency. It is compatible with centralized, decentralized, and string inverters for both AC and DC coupling schemes, making it a superior solution for various application scenarios. This helps alleviate local electricity supply challenges, providing a more stable power supply for end users.
The Trinabot cleaning robot attracted much attention from exhibition attendees. It features self-powered functionality, eliminating the need for charging cables, and includes strong safety measures such as anti-jamming, anti-falling, and UV resistance. The robot's environmental sensors adjust cleaning strategies based on weather conditions, while its brushless motor and LiFePO4 battery ensure durability. Supported by a cloud-based O&M system, it allows for intelligent remote management, simplifying operations.
In addition, following its successful launches in Europe, South America, North America, and Asia-Pacific, Trinahub 2.0 was officially unveiled for the first time in Saudi Arabia at a customer event. Trinahub 2.0 aims to provide a one-stop digital marketing platform for resource sharing and value co-creation with upstream and downstream partners. Offering customers a unique online experience through new visuals and exclusive benefits, they can easily access training on Trina Solar's brand and products as well as digital sales tools to better understand and promote the brand and its services. Guests at the event were highly interested and enthusiastically joined by scanning the QR code.
