CORNEX Makes Inroads into Overseas Markets, 5MWh Energy Storage System in High Demand

As Chinese energy storage companies accelerate their international expansion, energy storage products are also evolving simultaneously. The second-generation products, centered around the 5MWh+ energy storage system, are becoming mainstream. This product and scale upgrade indicates a corresponding upgrade in demand. Against this backdrop, leading domestic energy storage manufacturer Cornex boldly ventures overseas, securing orders in the Australian and North American markets, and recently making a notable appearance at the International Solar Exhibition in Saudi Arabia, where its flagship products, including the 5MWh system, have attracted keen interest from Middle Eastern customers.

 

 

From October 15 to 16, Cornex made its presence felt at the 2024 Riyadh International Solar Exhibition in Saudi Arabia. This exhibition is held in Riyadh, the capital and largest city of the global energy powerhouse Saudi Arabia, making it one of the most significant solar industry events in the region. Cornex showcased key products such as the 5MWh battery prefabricated cabin CORNEX M5, the long π 314Ah ultra-long cycle life energy storage battery, and the super-capacity 625Ah dedicated energy storage battery, all of which garnered significant attention from attendees.

 

According to incomplete statistics, Cornex has participated in several international exhibitions in recent years, including the U.S. International Solar Exhibition, the European Photovoltaic and Energy Storage Exhibition, the Birmingham Battery and Technology Applications Exhibition in the UK, the Australian All-Energy Exhibition, and Smarter E Europe. Through various channels such as participating in international exhibitions, building overseas teams, establishing overseas after-sales service, and improving product certifications for overseas markets, Cornex has essentially achieved a global layout for its energy storage business.

 

Moving forward, Cornex will continue to pay attention to the international energy market, adhering to the philosophy of quality and service first, and craft a new card of all-scenario energy storage solutions and applications to continuously create value for global customers. With its participation in the Saudi Riyadh Energy Storage Exhibition, Cornex has also reached a new milestone in its overseas market expansion, setting a standard for Chinese companies venturing abroad.

 

 

At the Saudi Energy Storage Exhibition, the self-developed 20-foot 5MWh battery prefabricated cabin CORNEX M5 attracted the most attention. It is equipped with 314Ah cells, achieving a high balance between cost and system capacity. The system design meets the industry's strictest standards, including GB/T 36276, IEC 62619, and UL 9540A, ensuring safety for various energy storage stations. CORNEX M5 went into mass production and delivery in February 2024, making Cornex one of the first companies in the industry to deliver a 5MWh system, which is now widely used in multiple large-scale energy storage projects.

 

Notably, at the RE+ Exhibition in the U.S. in September, Cornex received two significant pieces of good news regarding its 5MWh system: First, the 5MWh series products obtained UL1973, UL9540A, and UL9540 certification, meaning that CORNEX M5 has passed internationally recognized and widely accepted battery safety standards, laying the groundwork for entry into the American market; second, Cornex signed a supply agreement for a 1.5GWh energy storage system with Bison Energy, which will provide the 5MWh battery prefabricated cabin CORNEX M5 for Bison Energy's large-scale solar-storage and standalone storage projects in markets such as the U.S., Australia, Japan, and Italy.

 

With the 5MWh energy storage system product, Cornex has taken solid steps in the overseas market. Moving forward, Cornex will further deepen its overseas market efforts, develop higher-quality energy storage products, and showcase Chinese strength in the global energy storage market.
