It is reported that the domestic compressed air energy storage power station project has recently ushered in intensive signing. On January 10th, the demonstration project of a 300MW/1200MWh compressed air energy storage power station in China was signed and settled in Wangcheng District, Changsha City. The project's total investment is estimated to be about 12 billion yuan, which is expected to be completed in 2025. On January 5th, Hunan Electric Power Design Institute of China Energy Construction Group signed a framework agreement for the cooperative development of a 300MW/1800MWh compressed air energy storage project in Chenzhou, Hunan. By the end of 2022, China Nengjian will have completed the site selection and layout of more than 50 compressed air energy storage power stations, and the company plans to arrange 100 compressed air energy storage power stations nationwide in the first batch. In addition to China Nengjian, since late November last year, several compressed air energy storage projects, such as China Electric Power and China Huaneng, have made the latest progress, and the project progress has been accelerated.
 
Debon Securities pointed out that the installed capacity of new energy has rapidly increased, and the impact of wind power generation on the power grid has gradually increased. Long-term and large-capacity can adjust the fluctuation of new energy power generation in a longer time dimension, and its role will gradually become prominent. Both pumped and compressed air energy storage is long-term and large-capacity storage, but the construction period of compressed air energy storage is generally 12-18 months, much lower than that of pumped storage and less affected by geographical location. In the future, there is a strong demand for the country to promote the construction of compressed air energy storage projects. The policy promotes overlapping scale projects, and the economy of domestic compressed air energy storage projects is expected to improve gradually. Under the influence of multiple factors, it is expected that the installed capacity of compressed air energy storage in China will increase rapidly. Guanyanxia predicts that under neutral conditions, China's installed capacity of compressed air energy storage will increase by 6.59GW in 2025 compared with 2022, corresponding to a market space of 37.18 billion yuan.
