CATL's EnerOne wins 22nd International Battery Energy Storage Award
From 11th to 13th May, CATL presented its full-scenario energy storage solutions at ees Europe 2022 in Munich, Germany. This exhibition is the largest and most important energy storage exhibition in Europe, and CATL displayed cutting-edge products covering the whole scenario of energy storage applications on the power generation side, transmission and distribution side, and power consumption side.
The outdoor liquid-cooled energy storage cabinet EnerOne, a star product that won the 2022 EES AWARD, is characterized by long life, high integration, and high safety. The product adopts 280Ah lithium iron phosphate battery cells, with a cycle life of up to 10,000 times; the temperature difference is controlled within 3 degrees Celsius, which is a significant improvement over the industry's temperature difference of 5-8 degrees Celsius; the footprint is only 1.69 square meters, which can be reduced by 35%; and it has a wide range of working voltages, which is compatible with inverters ranging from 600V to 1500V. At the same time, the modular and flexible design allows the product to be used in a variety of application scenarios, from industrial and commercial to large-scale energy storage and facilitates flexible additions to the project.
For all climatic scenarios such as extreme cold, high temperature, high humidity, desert, ocean, etc., CATL has innovatively developed the EnerC containerized liquid-cooled energy storage product, which has both IP55 protection and C5 corrosion protection and can perfectly adapt to a variety of extreme weather, and at the same time meets the requirements for 20 years of safe and reliable operation of the whole system. Its industry-leading highly integrated liquid-cooled system design has an area energy density of 259.7kWh/m², which is nearly 200% higher than the area energy density of traditional air-cooled systems.
On the energy storage side, EnerU, the lithium battery cabinet for UPS, provides a new solution for lithium lead-returned backup batteries, overcoming the high impedance bottleneck of lithium iron phosphate material, and providing a 6C discharge solution for UPS applications that combines safety and high multiplier performance. In addition to core safety, EnerU further ensures system safety through mechanical and thermal insulation materials, which effectively prevent heat spread in the event of thermal runaway of a single unit.
CATL also brought its small and lightweight 48100 base station power box to the show floor. The product adopts high-safety lithium iron phosphate battery cells and a 3U modular design, which greatly improves the space utilization rate and service life. 48100 BTS power box can be flexibly configured according to different system backup times, and up to 16 power boxes can be connected in parallel to meet the needs of multi-scenario applications.
