250 MW/1Wh All-vanadium Flow Battery Energy Storage Project in Chabuchar County, Yili Prefecture, Xinjiang
On January 30, the 250,000 kW/1 million kWh all-vanadium flow battery energy storage+1 million kW market-oriented grid-connected photovoltaic power generation project in Chabuchar County, Yili Prefecture, Xinjiang entered the EIA publicity stage.
The project is located in Chatuchak County, Yili Prefecture, Xinjiang, and the project construction unit is China Energy Saving (Chabuchar) Solar Energy Technology Co., Ltd. With a total investment of 5.8 billion yuan, the project is the first new energy project promoted by policy and development financial instruments in Yili Prefecture, Xinjiang.
The construction contents of the project include: (1) photovoltaic array area: including photovoltaic module array, inverter booster integrated machine, and maintenance channel; (2) Energy storage equipment area: including converter, step-up transformer container, battery container, electrolyte storage tank container, standby power supply of energy storage system and maintenance channel, etc. The project's total installed capacity is 1,000,000 kilowatts, and it is equipped with 250,000 kilowatts of an all-vanadium flow battery for energy storage. It is planned to be completed before December 30, 2023, and realize grid-connected power generation.
After implementing the project, the average annual power generation reaches 2 billion kWh. Compared with coal-fired power plants of the same scale, it can save about 608,000 tons of standard coal every year, reduce CO2 emissions by about 1.994 million tons and SO2 emissions by about 320 tons, which has obvious coal-saving and carbon-saving effects. It can provide jobs for more than 50 people, which is of great significance for implementing the national carbon neutrality and peak carbon dioxide emissions strategy and promoting the high-quality development of the local economy and society.
