Huadian Laicheng energy storage power station project, invested and constructed by Huadian International Power Co., Ltd. with a total investment of 450 million yuan, with a full designed capacity of 101 MW/206 MWh, including 100 MW/200 MWh lithium iron phosphate battery, The 1 MW/6 MWh iron-chromium flow battery has a total of 206,000 kWh per charge, which can meet the electricity demand of more than 1,000 households for a month. The project is completed and put into operation and included in the unified dispatching management of the Shandong Power Grid. It mainly participates in the province's power assistance, power grid peak regulation, energy storage capacity leasing and other services. It can consume about 100 million kWh of new energy and reduce coal consumption by about 30,000. Ton, providing strong support for the safe and stable operation of the power system and the construction of a new power system with a gradually increasing proportion of new energy.
 
It is reported that in terms of new technology, the project innovates the "high-voltage cascade + liquid cooling" method, adopts a 10.5 kV high-voltage cascade non-boost transformer access scheme, and solves the problem of battery parallel circulation and heat generation. The long-term energy storage technology of iron-chromium flow batteries has the advantages of low electrolyte toxicity, easy installation and expansion, improves the overall conversion efficiency of the energy storage power station, and saves more than 10 acres of floor space. In the new model, to comprehensively improve the peak regulation and frequency regulation capability, the project integrates the 9 MW/4.5 MWh energy storage and frequency regulation power station to be completed and put into operation in 2021, explores the optimization and innovation of the control system, and pioneers the "thermal power + energy storage" peak regulation and frequency regulation hybrid storage system. Energy mode, and create offline and online health evaluation systems for generators under severe peak shaving conditions of thermal power units. Regarding new value, relying on the distributed photovoltaic project on the roof of the Laicheng Power Plant under construction will promote the deep integration of photovoltaic power generation and energy storage and create a "photovoltaic-storage integration" project.
