Shanxi's first "photovoltaic + energy storage" project is connected to the grid and can save more than 1.2 million tons of standard coal
Recently, the 100 MW PV project in Xiyang, Jinzhong City, Shanxi Province, was connected to the grid to generate electricity, becoming the first project in Shanxi Province this year to successfully secure a 220 kV booster station with an energy storage system to a 500 kV substation. The project is the first new energy power plant in Shanxi province to realize the joint primary frequency control technology of "PV + energy storage.".

The project is an integrated project of China Energy Construction in Jin. After the project is put into operation, it is expected that the average annual power generation will be about 160 million kWh, which is equivalent to saving about 60,000 tons of standard coal, reducing about 100,000 tons of carbon dioxide, 0.1 million tons of sulfur dioxide and 0.2 million tons of nitrogen oxides, and providing clean electricity for 110,000 families. During the 25-year planning period, the online power will be about 3982904.0 MWh, saving approximately 1,129,800 tons of standard coal for power generation, actively promoting the transformation of the local economy and industry, and realizing green and clean development.
