The Daihai Energy Storage Power Plant, developed and funded by Jingneng Power, features 192 MC Cube-T ESS units provided by BYD Energy Storage, delivering a total capacity of 300MW/1200MWh. BYD Energy Storage tailored an energy storage solution for this project, which is located in a harsh desert, Gobi, and barren landscape, addressing the unique challenges posed by extreme environmental conditions.

Located in Liangcheng County, Ulanqab City, Inner Mongolia, the site is known for its extremely cold temperatures, high winds, and sandy terrain, making construction particularly difficult. This demanding environment requires energy storage systems with exceptional adaptability and stability. Thanks to BYD's "Blade Battery for Energy Storage" and CTS (Cell to System) technology, the MC Cube-T ESS proved to be highly capable and flexible, ensuring smooth grid-connected operation for the Daihai Energy Storage Project.

The MC Cube-T ESS is designed with a modular structure and offers five key advantages: easy layout, transportation, installation, maintenance, and expansion. The system can be transported either as separate components or as a complete unit, eliminating concerns about weight. A small crane is sufficient for both transport and installation.

Supporting plug-and-play functionality and remote commissioning, the system enhances installation and commissioning efficiency by 80%. This innovation sped up the completion of the project, reducing the average time required for DC-side on-site work from 90 days to just 47 days, resulting in full-capacity grid connection by the end of the year.
