In a significant move toward advancing sustainable logistics, CATL, the global leader in battery innovation, and DHL Group, a world-renowned logistics company, have solidified their strategic partnership through a new agreement aimed at reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions in logistics parks. This collaboration underscores both companies' shared commitment to fostering a greener future and achieving global sustainability goals.

Under the terms of the agreement, CATL will deploy its cutting-edge liquid cooling energy storage systems and advanced energy management platforms across DHL's logistics facilities. These solutions will integrate with battery swapping and ultra-fast charging infrastructure, enabling DHL to optimize its energy usage and maximize the adoption of renewable energy sources. This initiative aligns seamlessly with DHL's ambitious target of achieving net-zero emissions in its logistics operations by 2050.

Beyond energy storage, the partnership will also explore advancements in electric vehicle (EV) technology, battery recycling, and end-of-life battery management. Leveraging DHL's global network of EV Centers of Excellence, the collaboration aims to drive innovation in the automotive mobility sector, further supporting the transition to sustainable transportation.

Libin Tan, Co-President of Sales and Marketing at CATL, emphasized the significance of the partnership: "By combining DHL's unparalleled logistics expertise with CATL's groundbreaking green technologies, we are pioneering transformative solutions for sustainable logistics. This strengthened collaboration not only supports our mutual sustainability objectives but also accelerates the global shift toward a greener future."

Oscar de Bok, CEO of DHL Supply Chain, echoed this sentiment: "We are thrilled to integrate CATL's energy solutions into our logistics parks while providing our logistics services to CATL. This partnership exemplifies the innovative spirit and shared vision of our teams, showcasing how collaboration can drive meaningful progress toward sustainability."

This agreement builds on a memorandum of understanding (MOU) signed by the two companies last year, which outlined their commitment to carbon-neutral facilities and the electrification of DHL's delivery fleet. The latest collaboration marks a concrete step toward implementing these goals on a global scale.

To further support CATL's mission of making advanced technology accessible worldwide, DHL has been selected as CATL's preferred logistics partner. DHL's extensive network of EV Centers of Excellence will play a pivotal role in delivering integrated logistics solutions, ensuring the efficient deployment of CATL's innovative technologies across international markets.

This partnership between CATL and DHL represents a powerful synergy of expertise and innovation, setting a new standard for sustainable logistics and reinforcing their leadership in the global transition to a low-carbon economy.
