CALB Embarks on a New Chapter: Groundbreaking of Zero-Carbon AI Gigafactory in Portugal
On February 24, local time, construction officially began on CALB's Portugal facility, a zero-carbon AI gigafactory set to commence production in 2027. CALB Chairman Liu Jingyu and Portuguese Minister of Economy Pedro Reis jointly presided over the groundbreaking ceremony, attended by shareholders, customers, supply chain partners, financial institutions, and industry experts.
During the event, CALB's European business leaders showcased the company's latest technologies and products for the global EV battery and energy storage markets, drawing significant attention. Additionally, CALB signed multiple strategic cooperation agreements with customers, marking the beginning of a new phase of collaboration.
