On December 12, Ampace officially unveiled its latest JP30 cylindrical lithium battery with the theme "Lightly Equipped, Powerful Energy." This launch marks a significant milestone in the high-power battery field, showcasing Ampace's innovation strength and technological breakthroughs to global users.

Global Debut of the JP30: Breaking Through the Performance Bottleneck of 18650 Batteries, Ushering in the Next Generation of Powerful Energy Technology

With the increasingly complex operating environments of power tools, the demand for battery performance continues to grow. In response, Ampace, following the successful launch of the Jumbo-Power series cylindrical batteries and the world's first mass-produced JP40, has once again made a powerful move with the introduction of the JP30, the first 18650 product in the JP series.

Dr. Yuan Qingfeng, the Chief Technology Officer of Ampace, stated: "For a long time, the industry generally believed that the performance of 18650 batteries had reached its limit. However, the JP30 has successfully broken through the performance limits of high-power batteries. By using a full-tab structure design for the battery cells, coupled with high-energy-density cathode materials and a new fast-charging graphite-silicon-carbon composite material for the anode, along with ultra-high-performance electrolyte, we have achieved improvements across five key metrics: high power, long runtime, fast charging efficiency, long service life, and low-temperature performance."

Not only has the JP30 achieved a more compact and smaller design, but it also delivers exceptional high-rate performance. This breakthrough makes it the ideal choice for the future of power tools, especially for those tools with strict size and weight requirements.

Multiple Innovations to Accelerate the Cordless Revolution

The JP30 has achieved significant advancements across various performance metrics, including continuous high-power operation, pulse discharge, battery lifespan, charging speed, and wide-temperature range operation.

Dr. Yuan further elaborated on the JP30's outstanding performance:

- Power Performance: The JP30 supports continuous 36A high-power discharge for up to 5 minutes. For pulse discharge, it achieves a remarkable 140A in 5-second pulses. This feature is particularly beneficial for high-intensity tasks such as rebar cutting and concrete drilling, effectively reducing stalling and improving tool performance and work efficiency.

- Battery Capacity: The JP30 increases the capacity of the 18650 battery to 3.0Ah, a 20% increase compared to the traditional 2.5Ah cells. For example, when used in cleaning appliances, the JP30-powered devices enjoy up to a 20% longer runtime, offering a more convenient user experience.

- Battery Lifespan: The JP30 boasts over 600 charge-discharge cycles under 9A charge/30A discharge conditions, a 300% increase in lifespan compared to traditional cylindrical batteries, which effectively lowers the cost per use.

- Charging Speed: The JP30 supports ultra-fast charging, reaching 80% charge in just 10 minutes, reducing charging time by 60%. This means that users can easily handle tasks with only two or three batteries, eliminating the need to worry about spare batteries during outdoor operations.

- Low-Temperature Performance: The JP30 can operate in temperatures as low as -40°C, further expanding its potential application scenarios.

The JP30 is designed to be lightweight yet powerful. Ampace's R&D team continues to pursue "extreme safety, reliability, performance, and user experience," with a steadfast commitment to advancing cutting-edge technology for broad application. Looking ahead, the JP series will introduce more products in 2025, injecting boundless energy into a better life through excellent user experiences and green energy solutions.
