I. The world's largest single-phase energy storage power plant was put into commercial operation
 
Recently, the world's largest single-phase energy storage plant supplied by BYD Energy Storage was successfully put into commercial operation on the sunny west coast of the United States. The independent energy storage plant is supplied with BYD Cube T28, a 1500V grid-level energy storage product by BYD Energy Storage, with a storage capacity of nearly 1.7 GWh.
 
The U.S. is one of the largest and fastest-growing energy storage markets in the world, and California, as the largest energy storage market in the U.S., has led the world in the use of policies to guide energy storage development. As of October 2022, BYD's energy storage has shipped approximately 3.6 GWh cumulatively in the U.S. With years of experience operating projects around the world, BYD has proven to its customers the safety, reliability, and cost-effectiveness of its products.

 
 
Second, stand-alone energy storage has higher requirements for components and system integration
 
Independent energy storage power plants sign grid-connected dispatching agreements directly with power dispatching agencies as independent entities, without location restrictions, and have the advantages of being able to achieve peak regulation, frequency regulation, standby, and tracking planned power generation. From the perspective of the industry chain, compared with new energy distribution and storage, independent energy storage has higher requirements for components and system integration.
 
The BYD Cube T28 is the first liquid-cooled energy storage product in China that has passed UL9540A system-level appraisal and has excellent performance. It adopts vehicle-grade cooling system devices with high safety, high reliability, and long life, and is compatible with global energy storage standards.
 
 
Third, help California to use electricity freely and practice the concept of zero carbon emission
 
The independent energy storage plant can store and dispatch electricity to more than 47,000 households per year after it is put into operation. Compared with natural gas-fired power generation, it can reduce 275,000 tons of carbon dioxide emissions and 47 tons of carbon oxide emissions per year, which is equivalent to reducing greenhouse gas emissions from 53,000 cars.
